La grande réactivité des parisiens au lancement de ce 1er Startup Weekend Zéro Déchet montre l’intérêt croissant de la communauté autour des initiatives liées à l’économie circulaire. En effet, nous sommes de plus en plus concernés par les enjeux des déchets que l’on génère et les conséquences de nos modes de consommation.

Aujourd’hui 84% des déchets de la ville sont encore incinérés ou enfouis en décharge et leur production continue d’augmenter. Il est désormais évident que la capitale fait face à un enjeu de taille, une problématique que ses citoyens veulent transformer en opportunité de création de valeur.

Le sold out des billets du 1er#SWZeroWaste à Paris à J-30 positionne la ville comme le dojo européen. Startup Weekend : Learning by doing
Le Startup Weekend repose sur un format dynamique où 30 à 120 participants apprennent en mettant la main à la patte. sa réflexion et viennent alimenter un pitch sur le mode les outils du storytelling. En 54 heures, les participants ont posé les jalons
nécessaires à aller à la rencontre d’un jury aussi prestigieux que bienveillant, brassant large parmi les investisseurs et entrepreneurs avertis. Le but est de cibler les pistes d’optimisation et célébrer un travail d’équipe intense… et rapidement concret !

Créée en 2007, Startup Weekend est une organisation mondiale à but non lucratif dont l’objectif est d’éduquer, soutenir et encourager les
entrepreneurs de demain. En phase avec son époque, Startup Weekend se mobilise sur des enjeux émergents, comme l’entrepreneuriat
féminin ou l’intelligence artificielle, mais aussi des défis majeurs comme l’entrepreneuriat pour aider les réfugiés.

A ce jour, près de 4000 événements ont déjà été organisés par des équipes bénévoles à travers 150 pays, rassemblant plus de 200000 personnes et 25000 équipes autour d’un objectif commun d’action par l’expérimentation.
